The data were collected to investigate an aging phenomenon in PEM electrolysis cell MEAs involving the growth of cross-plane iridium filaments within the membrane, correlated with the porous transport layer design. The aim of the study is to improve efficiency, durability, and large-scale green hydrogen production.&lt;p>&lt;p>&#xd;
