The samples were carefully characterized with respect to mineralogy and chemistry using, e.g., XRD and SEM/EDS. The uptake behaviour of 226Ra is evaluated using batch sorption experiments.
This dataset contains experimental data on a) 226Ra sorption kinetics and 226Ra sorption on sandy Opalinus Clay as a function of the S/L ratio, b) the characterization of the mineralogical composition of rock samples and the different pore-waters in equilibrium with each clay sample, c) a representation of the mineralogical composition of rock samples in a ternary diagram QFM (quartz, feldspar, and mica), and d) calculated speciation of 226Ra and saturation indices (SI) for Ra-phases in synthetic Opalinus Clay pore water and predicted mole fractions of BaSO4 and SrSO4 in (Sr,Ba)SO4 celestine solid solutions.
<sumDscr/></stdyInfo><method><dataColl><sources/></dataColl><anlyInfo/></method><dataAccs><setAvail/><useStmt/></dataAccs><othrStdyMat/></stdyDscr><otherMat ID="f12858" URI="https://data.fz-juelich.de/api/access/datafile/12858" level="datafile"><labl>Calculated speciation of 226Ra.xlsx</labl><txt>Table A2.
